The requirements need to be defined to determine the nature of flexibility required.
When the base material surface carries impurities, the bonding strength will be limited merely by how firmly these contaminants cling to the workpiece, rather than the bonding force between glue and the substrate. Sources of surface contaminants cover machining processes, anti-corrosion coatings, manual handling, production operations, factory ambient pollution, and residual film formed by earlier cleaning agents. Even an extremely thin layer of oil residue on substrates may cut the adhesive’s overall performance by up to 60%.
An adhesive reaches fixture strength once the joint holds firmly enough for the assembled part to be moved without harming its ultimate bonding durability. In laboratory testing, fixture time refers to how long a 1-inch-wide lap shear sample with a 0.5-inch bonding overlap can bear a 3-kilogram shear load for no less than five seconds. Cyanoacrylate adhesives generally achieve fixture strength within mere seconds. Full cure describes the point at which the glue attains its maximum possible bonding performance, which normally takes 24 hours for cyanoacrylate products.
The “use by” date printed on all our goods marks the cutoff for our performance guarantee, determined through in-house lab evaluations. Once this date passes, we are unable to vouch for consistent product functionality any longer. Every item has a customized shelf life determined by its unique chemical makeup and formula; this timeline is validated via physical property assessments and cannot be prolonged.
We are unable to pinpoint exactly which properties will fall outside acceptable standards for each formula. For this reason, we strongly advise against intentionally applying any expired adhesives.
Refer to the technical data sheet (TDS) for any product storage information.
This common white haze is called blooming, and it usually happens when too much adhesive is applied. You can prevent blooming by improving ventilation, using less glue, working in low-humidity conditions, or applying a primer before bonding.
Cyanoacrylate bonds skin extremely fast because skin contains moisture. To separate stuck fingers, gently roll a pen or pencil back and forth along the bonded line to slowly peel the skin apart. You can also soak and wash the area with warm soapy water to loosen the bond.
They are designed to bond and secure cylindrical metal parts. They can be used alone or to reinforce traditional mechanical assemblies. They also tolerate minor machining tolerances, which helps reduce overall production costs.
Anaerobic adhesives do not dry like regular glue, as they contain no solvents to evaporate. Instead, they cure only when two conditions are met: no oxygen is present, and the adhesive touches active metal surfaces.
Yes, good ventilation is recommended. Most MMA-based acrylic adhesives produce a strong odor during application.
Q: Do I need complex surface preparation for acrylic adhesive bonding?
Extensive surface treatment is not required. Simply make sure the bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dirt, oil and other contaminants — a quick solvent wipe is sufficient. For maximum bond strength, assemble the parts within the adhesive’s open time and apply enough adhesive to fully fill the joint during clamping.
Light-cure adhesives contain special photoinitiator ingredients. When exposed to light at the correct wavelength and intensity, these photoinitiators activate and create free radicals. These free radicals trigger the polymerization reaction of the adhesive. Once fully exposed to adequate light, the adhesive completely cures and hardens.
Oil film remover is specially formulated for thin surface oil layers on metal workpieces. It works faster than general metal cleaners and leaves no invisible oil residue that ruins subsequent bonding or coating processes.
Not recommended. Motor cleaner features ultra-low residue and rapid volatilization to avoid circuit short-circuits. Ordinary machinery cleaner contains surfactants that may leave conductive traces, posing risks to electrical components.
No. This product only dissolves loose, soft carbon sludge formed by long-term mechanical operation. Hardened carbon layers require physical polishing or strong industrial descaling solutions instead.
It stabilizes engine operating temperature, stops pipeline rust and limescale buildup, and delivers anti-freeze and anti-boil protection to adapt to harsh temperature conditions for locomotives.
Add it to circulation cleaning tanks if heavy foam appears while using water-based metal cleaners, machinery cleaners or oil film removers. It suppresses foam without reducing original cleaning performance.
Paint stripper has strong dissolving power. Limit its contact time on aluminum, plastic and painted substrates. Rinse workpieces completely right after stripping to prevent surface corrosion or discoloration.
